Originals plus 1 dealt with the loss of many friends to AIDS and Jeff's original music was a set of movements that worked throughout the entire CD. In one of the tracks, Duets, two lovers deal with the realization that one has AIDS. The song goes through a range of emotions from happy to sad and the notes are perfect harmony, constantly playing 2 notes and at the end of the piece only one note. Rage and Remembrance deals with someone who comes to find out they are HIV+ and and is angry and mad as Hell! But then they work through it and accept what is coming next.
